Tazer is this wonderfully sound belgian sheepdog, who at the young age of 10 weeks made his long flight to Alaska and then was picked up by a bush pilot to be flown 150 miles further north and away from any towns.  Tazer lived this isolated life with his wonderful owner and her husband who flew in every other week.  He watched over the buffalo and the horses, played in the creek and loved the cold weather.  To this day when it got down below 20 below in Illinois this winter, he thought it was great.  When he was 17 months old his owner contacted me to say that she thought he might do better in another home.  Roxanne immediately said we were bringing him home, she had fallen in love with the head study of him below when he was 14 months old.  I have to admit we had some misgivings, he had been living in the bush with limited exposure to people and to even the simple basics like electricity let alone crowds and cars.

Within two weeks arrangements were made to fly him to Illinois.  The poor boy was going to have to fly into O'hare.  Well he really does love to fly especially as co-pilot of a bush plane.  He was a little unsure of his car ride in Anchorage to the otherside of the airport but did it.  He arrived at O'hare where a friend picked him up at the airport, a two hour drive later he was transeferred to another friend for the final drive to his destination of the Quad Cities.  He was such a cool belgian shepherd during this time, one of the drivers, Lise, was ready to keep him.  He never shied of the people or the noises he heard, he just took it all in.  When he got to Roxanne's his first intro in the house was to a ceiling fan.  He never cowered he did as he has with everything, sat down watched it for a moment and went oh well and kept right on into the house.  Two weeks later Rox decided to take him to a show in Des Moines since they would be camping and he could adjust to it from a distance.  Well that was not the boys style, by the 2nd day he was parading through the vendors, shopping for his own toys.  It took 6 months to get his coat in condition to be shown and his debut was the Belgian Sheepdog National Specialty with photos below where he placed 2 nd in th open class.  3 weeks later he made his official ring debut and in a single weekend garned 9 points and both majors.  2 more weekends and he is a finished Champion.

Thank you Mickie for providing the love and nurturing for his first 17 months and to Roxanne for showing the boys potential for the rest of his life and to Twister and Travis for this awesome boy.
